Dan and Mel met in October 2014. At the time, Mel was a sophomore at Saint Joseph’s University and Dan was a recent graduate of SJU. Go Hawks! Dan and Mel were introduced by mutual friends and immediately hit it off. Dan got Mel’s number from a mutual friend and asked her to go on a date to a local restaurant in Manayunk called Han Dynasty. They had the best conversations and ended up staying until closing time. Both Mel and Dan didn’t want the night to end. From there, they knew this would be the start of something special. Fast forward to November 26th, 2023, Dan asked Mel to marry him at Cherry Street Pier in Philadelphia, where they currently reside with their 2-year-old golden retriever puppy, Sammy.
