Our Wedding

Their story began after an evening service at General Conference. Melanie ran into a mutual friend — and Robert happened to be standing nearby. The introduction was brief, but unforgettable. Robert had noticed Melanie earlier that night, and that simple moment of meeting stayed with both of them.At first, nothing moved too quickly. They talked, got to know each other, and honestly thought they might remain just friends. But as time passed, their conversations deepened and their connection grew. By the time they went on their second date, everything changed. What started as a friendship soon became something more, and on Valentine’s Day 2025, they officially became a couple.A few months later, they traveled to Santiago, Chile, where Melanie’s family lives. On June 8th, surrounded by the people and place closest to her heart, Robert asked Melanie to marry him — and for her, it was an easy yes.Looking back, they can see God’s hand in every step of their journey — from a brief introduction after a service in General Conference, to getting through that first date (and hoping for a second), to becoming a couple on Valentine’s Day, and ultimately to a proposal in Chile.They are grateful for His perfect timing and excited to celebrate this next chapter of their lives with all who share in their joy.

Both our ceremony and reception will take place outdoors. While the days are often pleasant in Southern California in January, the evenings can bring a noticeable chill. We kindly encourage our guests to dress with the season in mind and consider bringing a wrap, shawl, or jacket should the need arise throughout the celebration. We ask guests to dress in formal daytime attire — elegant and refined, but comfortable for the outdoors. We are so grateful to share this special day with you and look forward to celebrating together beneath the California sky.
