Unfortunately, the weekend of the celebration coincides with the Ryder Cup, a prestigious golf tournament featuring players from the US and Europe, this year held at Bethpage Black. Consequently, almost every hotel on Long Island is booked. If you manage to find a hotel with available rooms, we highly recommend the Hyatt Regency on Motor Parkway, Jake’s 58, the Hampton Inn Long Island/Islandia, or the Holiday Inn Hauppauge-Long Island (regrettably, they will be quite expensive— we apologize). We are diligently searching for hotels with a block of rooms; once we secure one, we will promptly inform everyone.
