We are so excited to celebrate with you!
We understand a lot of our guests may be coming in from out of town, so we wanted to include other adventures worth the trip alone. Washington is beautiful and August is arguably our best month.
Both Sunrise and Paradise (the two sides of Rainier) contain the most beautiful wild flower fields and mountain ranges in the state. The address posted is for Paradise Inn, located in the center of many hikes and lookouts on the Paradise side. It's about a 3 hour drive each way from Port Orchard, WA, but it'll be a view you'll never forget.
This hike is much more local, located in Seabeck. This is about 30 minutes from Port Orchard. Stick to the left on the trail and you'll be brought to a ledge overlooking the Hood Canal and Olympic mountain range. Continue on the path and it will bring you down to the shoreline.
This is a 1 mile hike along Lake Crescents' shores to the most vibrant water and bridge. Many people hike in to swim and hangout. Lake Crescent is also beautiful if you go to the lodge and swim in its crystal clear water. The listed address takes you to the parking lot where the trailhead is. This is about a 2 hour drive from Port Orchard, but on the way to Hurricane ridge and Olympic national park.
Hurricane Ridge is a mountainous area in Washington's Olympic National Park. It has beautiful views and trails for hiking. Located four hours from Port Orchard.
Local to us, Seabeck is one of our favorite places to go in the summer time. The water and views of the Olympics are incredible. There is a small grass park on the coast near Seabeck pizza and the general store where you can picnic, tan, or walk along the water.
Poulsbo is the cutest Norwegian town just north of us. There's many shops and great restaurants including the Loft and Sluys Bakery. Many antique and boutique shops.
Point no Point is our sandy beach. Many beautiful views and driftwood huts. Located about an hour north of us. Make sure to stop at Town & Country market in Poulsbo for food and drinks before!
Lake Cushman is our all time favorite lake. Located about an hour and a half from us, the drive and views are incredible. Perfect place to swim in crystal clear lake water and jump off of party rock. If you continue on to the end of the road you'll find Staircase hike, which is a flat and easy loop through the beautiful forest.
Downtown Seattle is just a ferry ride away. There's many cool restaurants, hotels, shops, museums, and tourist attractions if you've never been. Pike Place market is one of the main attractions, with over 100 vendors, fresh fruit, flowers, and fish. Makes for a very fun day of exploring and shopping.
