Our Wedding

In&nbsp;March&nbsp;of&nbsp;2022,&nbsp;Melinda&nbsp;decided&nbsp;to&nbsp;begin&nbsp;her&nbsp;next&nbsp;adventure&nbsp;and&nbsp;move&nbsp;solo&nbsp;across&nbsp;the&nbsp;country&nbsp;to&nbsp;Florida.&nbsp;A&nbsp;few&nbsp;months&nbsp;later&nbsp;(June),&nbsp;she&nbsp;met&nbsp;Tommy,&nbsp;a&nbsp;big,&nbsp;fun&nbsp;loving&nbsp;guy&nbsp;with&nbsp;a&nbsp;great&nbsp;sense&nbsp;of&nbsp;humor&nbsp;and&nbsp;unique&nbsp;cooking&nbsp;skills.&nbsp;After&nbsp;meeting&nbsp;online,&nbsp;they&nbsp;quickly&nbsp;discovered&nbsp;they&nbsp;liked&nbsp;the&nbsp;same&nbsp;kind&nbsp;of&nbsp;spontaneous&nbsp;and&nbsp;quirky&nbsp;fun&nbsp;that&nbsp;comes&nbsp;from&nbsp;living&nbsp;near&nbsp;the&nbsp;beach&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;Happiest&nbsp;Place&nbsp;on&nbsp;Earth.&nbsp;One&nbsp;date&nbsp;quickly&nbsp;became&nbsp;a&nbsp;relationship&nbsp;that&nbsp;traveled&nbsp;an&nbsp;hour&nbsp;and&nbsp;a&nbsp;half&nbsp;every&nbsp;weekend.&nbsp;Being&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;travel&nbsp;industry,&nbsp;Tommy&nbsp;loved&nbsp;to&nbsp;travel&nbsp;to&nbsp;historical&nbsp;and&nbsp;natural&nbsp;places&nbsp;and&nbsp;was&nbsp;eager&nbsp;to&nbsp;share&nbsp;those&nbsp;travels&nbsp;with&nbsp;Melinda&nbsp;and&nbsp;show&nbsp;her&nbsp;places&nbsp;she&nbsp;had&nbsp;never&nbsp;seen&nbsp;before.&nbsp;&nbsp;A&nbsp;short&nbsp;8&nbsp;months&nbsp;later,&nbsp;on&nbsp;a&nbsp;windy&nbsp;and&nbsp;overcast&nbsp;California&nbsp;beach,&nbsp;Melinda&nbsp;said&nbsp;yes&nbsp;to&nbsp;spending&nbsp;the&nbsp;rest&nbsp;of&nbsp;her&nbsp;life&nbsp;with&nbsp;Tommy.&nbsp;Now,&nbsp;two&nbsp;years&nbsp;later,&nbsp;the&nbsp;beginning&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;rest&nbsp;of&nbsp;their&nbsp;life&nbsp;is&nbsp;quickly&nbsp;approaching.

The bestest bestie in the whole wide world, Taryn has been there for me through the best and the worst. If I had listened to her sooner, in some instances, I would have saved myself from heartache because she has this knack for knowing what is not good for me. Even though she is irritated that I up and moved to Florida away from her, it was the best move of my life since it brought me Tommy, and maybe one day she'll forgive me and come visit out there.

Taryn Strong

My little sweet pea! She was such a bright joy when she came into my life right around my birthday of 2020, and brought happiness and love during Covid, where I got to babysit while working from home. She is growing so fast and becoming such a firecracker. Her and her mama (Taryn) are definitely family.

Mike and I met while we were both training to work at the Walt Disney World reservation center.  We bonded over a love of humor, Disney, sports, and general fun.   Even after I left the company, we kept in touch, sharing jokes, talking sports, and catching up on each other's lives.  Now, 17 years after the beginning of our friendship, Mike is doing Melinda and I a great honor by being my best man.

We are lucky enough to call this adorable little tater tot our Ring Security. He already has a great sense of humor and enjoys the reaction he gets whenever he tries to play a joke on an adult, especially me. It takes him a little time to warm up to you, but when he does, he is the most loving little guy with the most infectious laugh. We may have to have his mama waiting at the end of the aisle to coax him down, but we'll bribe him with Bluey if we have to.
