Jake and Melissa met for the for the first time in 2013 during their freshman year at Stockton University (formerly known as Richard Stockton College). Both being shy, neither one of them spoke to one another, or really even looked at each other.

Fast forward three years later, during a bitter winter storm, fate brought them back together when they mutually swiped right on Tinder. Some casual conversations commenced, when Jake decided to be smooth and transition off the app by sending her his phone number. To no one's surprise, he had mistyped the last digit. When Melissa finally read the message, she could see the panicked double text to correct his grave mistake. After laughing at his error, she continued their chat through texting.

There aren't many people who know this, but Melissa played a prank on Jake on their first date. After agreeing to do a movie followed by dinner (it had to be in that order to appease her overthinking mind), Jake shared that he would pick her up at her house. Melissa sent what he thought was her home address, but it was actually her next door neighbors. She gleefully watched by the window as he parked in front of the wrong house and walked up the wrong driveway. Guilt crept in though and she stopped him prior to getting to the front door. She will never forget the look of horror and confusion on his face as he ran across the front lawn to the correct house.

Seven and a half years later, and they have been happily goofing around with each. Over the years, they have shared many memories together including getting engaged in June of 2023, to buying their first place together in March of 2024. They have never let mix-ups or bad days get the better of them.

They could not be more excited to start this new chapter of their lives together and look forward to celebrating with you all on their wedding day!
