Q + A

INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?

We are providing ample tent space and the fanciest restroom trailer, but this is considered an OUTDOOR ONLY affair. Although we are hosting at our home, there will be no access to the house…no exceptions. This is to ensure Missy doesn’t have a panic attack and can enjoy the day, stress-free 😬

WHERE DO I PARK?

St. Joseph’s Catholic Church is graciously allowing our guests to park in their parking lot next door! Please follow their driveway (next to our house), and park at the church. Feel free to walk to our yard from there, or catch a ride with one of our golf cart shuttles (pick-up at the pavilion)! PLEASE, NO PARKING AT OUR HOUSE (drop-offs only). The church address is: 11045 St. Joseph Blvd, Mantua, Ohio 44255

WHAT ABOUT THE CEREMONY?

We will be getting married prior to the reception, keeping this part quite small. We are very excited to celebrate with everyone that evening, but prefer our ceremony to be as intimate as possible. Please arrive at the time designated on your formal invitation, as this is how we have specifically planned guest arrangements on our special day.

CAN I BRING MY KID(S)?

We love you, and we love your kids. However, we are hosting an adult-only celebration. There may be very limited exceptions for immediate family only, and you will know who you are prior to the big day. Otherwise, please make childcare plans ahead of time, and your awesome date night awaits!

CAN I BRING ADDITIONAL GUESTS?

In attempts to keep our celebration as intimate as possible, we are kindly asking to please be mindful of the EXACT names under your RSVP. This section indicates those who are invited and included in the headcount for our big day. In short, we are primarily keeping it to our closest family members, friends, and spouses. If you have any questions, please talk to us as this part is very important to us.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

We can’t stress enough-PLEASE DRESS FOR A FALL OUTDOOR WEDDING IN OHIO. Our best advice is to bring layers, coats, and - perhaps most importantly - appropriate lawn shoes! A few handful of umbrellas will be provided, but probably not a bad idea to bring your own rain gear if the weather isn’t cooperating that day.

WHAT ELSE CAN I EXPECT?

This is a fairly non-traditional reception…meaning, it’s a pretty free-flowing party. JT’s BBQ Food Truck will be serving dinner from 5:30pm-7:30pm, so you are welcome to eat whenever you’d like during that time. No seating arrangements, no super formal intros, no cake cutting…you get the gist. We’ll have a few games, some drinks, and a lot dancing. And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Paul party without a fire to close the night, which will be a hard-stop at 11pm.

WHAT ABOUT COVID?

If you are feeling even the slightest bit sick, or are aware of being exposed, please don’t attend! The health and safety of our loved ones is paramount. Masks are optional since we are outdoors, but please keep appropriate social distancing in mind.
