Our Story

In the labyrinth that is todays modern dating world, we more commonly hear of couples meeting on apps or websites, and maybe the occasional, through a friend. People meeting serendipitously or by fate seems to have been lost to a bygone era. That is, until two perfect strangers walked into Café Luna Rosa in Delray Beach on the morning of Sunday November 14th. Although being on vacation from different parts of the country, these strangers found an immediate common bond through their shared fondness of growing up in New England. Once pleasantries concluded, the rest of this day unfolded through a series of conversations on a sun-soaked beach, and walking along Delray’s bustling Atlantic Avenue. They sat and enjoyed cocktails on the ocean-front gazebo, and chased after friends whose true intentions were to always remain one step ahead of this newly formed twosome. When the day had ended, they were strangers no more. They had collected a surprising number of stories and inside jokes more akin to a seasoned couple than to two people who had just met hours before. At this point serendipity had played its part. While the couple returned home from vacation and began to resume normal life, the connection did not lose its power. Only a matter of weeks passed before a ticket to Virginia Beach was acquired, and they were reunited once again. From this point their connection continued to develop and strengthen. Many air miles later, they landed together in Delray Beach. And on an afternoon stroll, he knelt down on one knee at the place where their story began.
