In September 2018, two people swiped right on Bumble. Melissa agreed to a puppy play date with Rey and the trio met in Montgomery for what later became known as the "meet & greet." Aaron asked Melissa on a real first date to dinner and ice cream. A few weeks later, he invited Melissa to his house to have dinner and watch a movie. As Melissa drove down the driveway, Aaron texted her that his family was setting the table and joining... to this day, he claims he had no idea it would turn into the "meet the parents." As panicked as Melissa was during this turn in events, it ended up being the start of a serious relationship.

During six years of dating, Melissa has been turning Aaron into a traveler by starting small (Wildwood NJ), progressing to Michigan, and eventually reaching Aruba.

Aaron has become a "go to" person for relationship advice if your significant other drags you on 30 mile bike rides, 10 mile hikes, is obsessed with cats, or has a possum kit in her car.

They now live in SC with Rey and Rhysand who are best friends.
