Michael had been talking about going to watch the 2024 solar eclipse since they began dating in 2022. He convinced Melissa last minute to book a hotel in Little Rock, AR for a night &amp; tow the 3 dogs with them for their little getaway. The day of the total eclipse, they found the perfect spot at the Clinton Presidential Park to watch the eclipse. Right when the eclipse hit totality, Michael proposed!

Hampton Inn & Suites Millington

The Hampton Inn &amp; Suites as well as the Holiday Inn Express in Millington are within a mile of each other. Both hotels are within a 5 minute drive from the venue. We also recommend looking at Airbnb's in the surrounding areas of Millington, Brighton, Atoka &amp; Munford. We do not recommend staying within the City of Memphis limits for safety &amp; security purposes. If you have any questions before booking your stay, please feel free to reach out out to Melissa &amp; Michael!

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Millington-Memphis Area, an IHG Hotel

With uber/lyft not typically being an option in Millington, we have contacted a local driver to help ensure our guests have safe ride options. Please contact Pam Farris of Farris Wheels to schedule a pick up/drop of from the airport/hotel etc. She will also be available the night of the wedding to cover all of your rides if needed. We ask that you please order a ride vs. drinking and driving ( we love you all and want you to be safe).

For those flying into town, the Memphis Airport will be your destination. The Memphis Airport is approximately 35 minutes from Millington and Uber is not always an option into Millington. There are many rental car companies to choose from, however we recommend pre-booking your vehicle online to ensure you aren't stuck waiting for one to become available. Melissa has used National Rental Car for past travel and encourages guest to check their rates!

The Memphis Zoo is located in Midtown, Memphis (approx. 20 mins. from Millington) &amp; is a fun place to visit for people of all ages! This is close by to Overton Square which has wonderful restaurants to check out as well!

Check out the Bass Pro Shop at the Pyramid, you can take an elevator ride to the top and walk out to look over the City and Mississippi River!

Take a stroll down Beale Street for some food, drinks and blues music!

Huey's is the perfect place to grab a good quality burger &amp; beer! This is also right next to the Hotel location in Millington!
