Our story began in late summer 2021. We met online and exchanged some silly banter - Mo had mentioned how much he liked to cook and Melissa liked to make cocktails, so Melissa made a proposal: she would make the drinks, if he would cook the dinner. It was a date!

We had our first date at Madam in Birmingham. Our conversations were effortless and comfortable, like we had known each other forever. We both knew there would be a second date!

On our second date, we brought our original date plan into action: Mo cooked his infamous chicken and Melissa made a spritz cocktail.

The rest is history. From then on, we became inseparable, doing everything and anything together. We had our own personal "challenge" to try every Italian restaurant on the east side of town to find the best. When we weren't trying new restaurants together, we loved to watch movies, go shopping, and play with Mo's doggie, Roscoe.

We took our first trip together to Vegas in the spring of 2023 followed by another amazing trip to Miami in spring of 2024.

On Melissa's birthday, June 7th, 2024, we bought our first house together, which was a huge milestone for us. It was the 7th house we had offered on, but the most perfect one for us.

On April 5th, 2025, Mo proposed to Melissa at Madam, the restaurant we had our first date at. Yes, she was truly surprised! It was such a special moment for us. An older gentleman appeared out of nowhere after his proposal, congratulating us and giving us warm wishes for a long and healthy life together. It felt like such a beautiful omen.

In June of 2025, we traveled to Greece with Melissa's mom's side of the family to celebrate the beautiful wedding of Melissa's cousin, Athena to her husband, Adam. It was the trip of a lifetime. We took engagement photos in Mykonos, which you will see on this website under the "photos" section.

We can't wait to start our lives together and celebrate our wedding with our beautiful families and friends. Thank you for being here - you all mean so, so much to us.
