Melissa and Kevin first matched on Coffee meets Bagel (a dating app, of course) in October 2017. It wasn’t long after that that they had their first date at Clydz in New Brunswick, NJ. After a few more dates and many more texts and phone calls, on December 24, 2017, he decided to make it official and asked her to be his girlfriend. The following 3 years have been full of good times, growth, learning about each other’s interests and love. She went to his power lifting meets and watched Philly sports games. He learned to enjoy wine and tolerated the beach for her. And they even made up a secret handshake and never missed a Marvel movie premiere. They met each other’s families, and extended families, and established a happy relationship. On May 24, 2021, Melissa’s 30th birthday, Kevin decided to make it an extra special birthday. After a weekend of celebrating with friends and family, he suggested for her actual birthday that they should just grab some ice cream at a local shop. But really, after they got the ice cream, he surprised her by proposing to her by the riverfront in Burlington NJ with family hiding to take pictures.
