The afternoon began with Jonathan handing Melissa a compass… which, naturally, she had absolutely no idea what to do with.

But, it wasn't just any compass. It was a compass customized to direct us to the north end of the beach - our beach, where we shared one of our very first dates - and countless others after. Meanwhile, our incredible friend Misty was already there, hiding ninja-style in the dunes, camera ready, waiting to capture THE moment, and boy did she. The gasp, the smiles, the smooches, and all of the silliness that makes us us.

And when Melissa said yes (because that's obviously how we ended up here), the story continued with a magical (fire alarm filled) dinner and a night filled with love and googly eyes at The Cavalier.
