All started on bumble, I swipped right and started talking to this shy man who finally got the courage to ask me out on a date. We met at the local Greenwood Tavern for 'a' drink which turned into many drinks and dinner, leading Chris to miss out on cadets.

He was smitten with me from the first sight and asked me on a weekend getaway for our second date. I wasn't thinking 'Mel, this dude could be the next Ted Bundy' and decided a weekend getaway was a great idea!

We became friends before there was any relationship formed. Took 3 months for him to pluck up the courage and kiss me.

t was a warm April day, April 9th 2022 to be exact. Chris and I were at dads house doing some work on his house when Chris brother wanted to come over and test his drone skills out. Once Bradley got to the house I decided to head out and watch the boys play with their toys and throw the ball to walter.

All I could hear was the buzzing of the drone and didn't notice Chris odd behaviour. I threw my final ball for walter. Walter made a b line for Bradley. I noticed Brad was cuddling walter and told him to head to mum (me). I noticed something dangling around walters neck. As he got closer and closer I noticed it was a card. I bent down and took it off of walters collar, opened it, read it and spun around.

As I turned to look at Chris, he was on one knee and asked 'Will you spend the rest of your life and marry me?' Of course I was in shock and asking if he was kidding..he wasn't.

I finally said yes and now here we are!
