Brent and I first met at a mutual friend's childs birthday party! We had both been friends with the parents for years but had never met one another. We talked a little at the party, and then Brent found me on Facebook a few days later. We messaged each other for several weeks before he asked me on our first date.

Brent took me out to eat at The Blacksmith in Jackson,TN. We sat and talked for hours ,till they were shutting down. Our conversation flowed so easily. It was unlike any date I'd ever been on. When we left the restaurant, Brent took me to a flower field where I was able to pick a vase full of flowers. (And btw those flowers lived for over a month!) We had a good time walking through the flowers and talking. Once we got to the middle of the flower field, Brent pulled out an envelope that was making a strange noise. I asked what was making that noise. He told me he had gotten a butterfly 🦋 for us to release! I'd never done anything like that before. I thought it was kinda cool, and very sweet, but pretty corny. Lol After we released our butterfly, we left and went to Maggie Moos. Then he took me home. (P.s. - He didn't kiss me till several weeks later)

We had been dating about a year. Brent took me back to The Blacksmith(our first date). We ate an appetizer out on the patio(Brent's nerves got his appetite). After eating, Brent asked if I wanted to take a walk downtown to look at The Amp. Once we got down to The Amp, he pulled a ring out of his pocket, and I was in shock. I said, "What is that?!" Then he asked if I would marry him. And I said I thought you were supposed to be down on one knee. So he did. And I said I would.
