Melissa and Robert met for the first time in Austin, Texas which is hard to believe since they grew up in neighboring towns, El Campo and Wharton. Robert was living in Fort Collins, Colorado at the time and was touring through Texas over the holidays. Despite the long distance, they managed to spend a lot of time together and their relationship continued to blossom. After meeting each other's families and going on numerous road trips they quickly bonded and soon fell in love. Robert's dream was to move to Muscle Shoals, Alabama for his music career, and Melissa bravely jumped in and took a leap of faith. They happily reside in Sheffield, Alabama in a historic area called The Village with their adorable dogs, Chloe and Gemma Lou.
