A must-do for any of you traveling to Holderness with children or those that are children at heart. There are bears, there are otters, there are eagles, I could go on and on. Check it out!
Walk through glacier-made caves in rural New Hampshire! Polar Caves is a wonderful experience for young and old, though some moderate walking/hiking is required for the trails. Squeeze through the Orange Crush or check out any of the wonderful caves that stay cool all summer and sometimes maintain their snow year round!
Drive up Mount Washington, home of the World's Worst Weather (and fastest ever recorded wind speeds)!!! The tallest peak on the East Coast offers a 7.6 mile drive up the mountain that is not for the faint of heart, OR take one of their 2hr guided van tours! Driving yourself requires a steady hand and good breaks, but the van tour allows anyone to enjoy the trip while letting the experts (who drive the road every single day) take the wheel.
If you're not in the mood for a drive or ride up to the summit, enjoy the beauty of the base lodge!
