Since the venue is in a small town, lodging is unfortunately not plentiful nearby. The Cedar Inn is a small motel in Cavalier that we heard is under new and better management, but we have no firsthand experience to share with you. There are other small towns with motels in the area. You can also look for vacation rentals on sites like Airbnb. Hotels options are more plentiful in Grand Forks and Devils Lake, which are each about a 1 hour and 30 minute drive from the reception venue. Check the "Travel" tab on our website to find blocks of rooms in Grand Forks available to you until October 8. Whatever you choose, we recommend you book sooner than later because it will be opening weekend of hunting which brings people to the area.

No! Please do not feel obligated to give gifts. However, we know that some people enjoy giving gifts as part of the celebration. We have created a registry that you can peruse on this site, or find your own things online. If at all possible, we just ask that you ship it to Ricky's address in Utah so that we do not have to pack it in the moving truck with the rest of Missy's stuff! If gifts aren't your thing, we would love your help funding our honeymoon and financially kickstarting our new life together! We expect our Puerto Rican honeymoon to cost $3,000 or more, on top of furniture, moving expenses, etc. There is a honeymoon fund you can give through on our registry. The ceremony and reception will both be indoors.

Typical wedding attire will be fine for our wedding.

The reception in Mountain, ND is just a short 18 minute drive from the Cavalier Evangelical Free Church where the ceremony will be taking place.
