Cocktail attire. Think suits and cocktail dresses! If you're unsure whether your planned outfit works, reach out to the bride.
The ceremony and cocktail hour will be in the courtyard (weather permitting) so please wear appropriate shoes.
Are children welcome?
Although we love your littles, we want the event to remain childfree with the exception of our ring bearer, flower girl, and nieces and nephews.
Thank you for understanding!
Can I bring a +1?
At this time, we haven't sent formal invitations. Your invitation will indicate whether or not you have a +1.
Is there parking available at Penshurst?
Yes, there is private parking available at Penshurst for all of our guests.
You'll need to enter Penshurst through the private entrance off of B2176.
You can put this postcode into your GPS /Sat Nav: TN11 8DH
Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
We're hoping for an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour with dinner and dancing inside the Baron's Hall. If there is rain we will have the entire event inside. There's no telling with an English summer!
Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?
Yes. Please get in touch with Melissa if you have a gluten allergy or are vegan/vegetarian. You can email her at Melissamalec8@gmail.com.
Should women wear a hat to the wedding?
This is up to you! While this is an English wedding, half the guests will be American and we invite you to do whatever makes you most comfortable as long as it's within our dress code.
How should we get to and from the venue?
It's best to drive or to get a taxi. Because of the location, we strongly recommend arranging your taxi in advance.
Please ask the taxi company to send a taxi to the PRIVATE ENTRANCE (not the
public, visitor entrance) of Penshurst Place.
Is there a registry?
Yes, we have a registry. There's a tab on this site called 'Our Registry'. On that page you can find a link to the Prezola page where we're accepting donations to our honeymoon fund.
If you prefer to gift cash or simply want to extend well wishes via a card on the day of the wedding, there will be a place for you to drop those off at the venue during the reception.
