The story of Melissa and James started long before either of them realized... James was formerly an HVAC Salesman and went to Melissa's mother, Lisa's house in Branford to give her a quote. After he left, Lisa said "Ohh Meliss, he was cute" and planted the seed right then and there... A mother always knows best. Two years later, James kindly invited Melissa on a date, having become familiar with her as a regular face at the gym. As they spent more time together, despite Melissa's impending move to Charleston in two months, she knew James was the right person—it was just the wrong timing. But less than a week after she arrived in Charleston, Melissa realized that love doesn’t wait for the perfect timing. The right time was now. That marked Melissa and James as an official couple ♡ Since being together, they've traveled near and far to Charleston, Italy, the Bahamas, and lots of weekend getaways. They've spent lots of time with family and friends, and have attended countless weddings together, only making them more and more excited for their special day. James and Melissa have navigated long-distance love, job layoffs, tough decisions, and loss, yet through it all, they've built an unshakeable foundation. Now, they’re excited to begin their next chapter as the Lyons and look forward to sharing this special moment with all their loved ones as they unite as one.

The Salem Herbfarm 

<a href="https://www.salemherbfarm.com/gallery" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">The Salem Herbfarm</a> is where James and Melissa have chosen to celebrate their love. The address is: 320 Hartford Rd, Salem, CT 06420. A school bus will be available for guests staying at Mohegan. It will be stationed outside the Earth Tower at 3:45 PM on Saturday and depart promptly at 4:00 PM for The Salem Herbfarm. Return transportation back to Mohegan will be provided at 10:00 PM, following the conclusion of the wedding, for those heading back to their rooms or joining the after party. The after party is at Comix Roadhouse located inside Mohegan. Continue the celebration with us! Cash bar, late night snacks, and mechanical bull rides available. Yeehaw!
