Is the wedding venue wheelchair accessible
Yes the venue features forest paths covered with wood chips. For guests with other mobility challenges, a golf cart is available for transportation from the parking lot to the ceremony and other locations. If you require this service, please inform Melissa in advance
Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors
The wedding will be entirely outdoors. We will have umbrellas available if needed due to unfavorable weather. In case of extreme weather conditions, the wedding will be rescheduled.
Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels
We have reserved rooms at The Waters Edge Inn for guests. To book a room, please call (705) 653-4470 starting May 1st, 2024. Just mention that you are booking for the McCreadie/Carr wedding; no block number is needed.
Rooms are also reserved at the Campbellford River Inn. To book, call and mention you are attending the McCreadie/Carr wedding. Note that this motel requires a two-night minimum stay and is holding rooms only until May 15th, 2024.
What is the dress code for your wedding?
As previously noted, the venue is outdoors. It can get cool in the evenings, and there may be insects such as mosquitoes. Guest attire should be dressy casual; we want you to be comfortable. Some examples for women could be sundresses or cocktail dresses, lightweight separates, and flats, wedge heels, or block heels. **If you choose to wear heels, we recommend a maximum height of 2 inches.
For men, a light dress shirt with khaki or other lightweight slacks; jackets and ties are optional.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one
Our aim is to keep our special day intimate, as our venue can accommodate only 50 guests. As a result, Michael and I have decided not to offer plus ones.
Am I allowed to bring my children?
We adore your children, but due to limited space, we cannot accommodate them at our wedding. This will be an adults-only event.
