OIB = OCEAN ISLE BEACH. WEDDING AND ACTIVITIES ARE ON THE ISLAND.

FLY OR DRIVE?

~ Uber and Lyft are not common here. Uber can not cross state lines, so if you fly into Myrtle Beach, you won't be able to Uber to Ocean Isle Beach. OIB is under an hour from both Wilmington and Myrtle Beach airports. Beach Taxi has a few drivers, but the rental car is really the best bet.

~Golf carts MIGHT be able to be rented for your stay(waiting on answers as I type this)

WHERE TO STAY?

~ We have a block of rooms being held at the Islander Inn. OIB has a plethora of rentals, from huge mansions to basic hotel rooms. VRBO and Airbnb have many to choose from as well. The main "commerce" is in the center of the island by the bridge. The Islander Inn and a couple of the other hotels are more central to the island. The venue is on the West end of the island, the Islander Resort is fairly close to the venue and the Channelside Condos, where many of the pre wedding activities will be happening. We advise visiting a few websites (will add links) or google maps to see what the island has to offer.

ATTIRE?

~ Prior to the Saturday wedding, casual is the way to go! We plan on having meet and greets, cocktails, food, golf outing, etc starting on Thursday before the wedding. We want EVERYONE to feel part of our family, and really hope both sides can enjoy a weekend of fun, food, and awkward dance moves!

~Saturday (WEDDING DAY) we are asking for semi formal attire. We want our guests to be comfortable. We will be married pool side (weather permitting), there will be inside and outside bars, seating, music, etc.

WEATHER?

The weather on the island can change multiple times a day. Plan for all sorts of weather when packing. Temps can be in the 60s and 70s during the day, cooling off into the 50s and 60s in the evening.

FUN THINGS?

We are hoping to have a golf outing on the Thursday before the wedding. Details to follow. We are also planning on having a boat or two to offer rides up and down the water way on a little tour. The island has a mini golf, ice cream, tiny museum etc... We are planning on a few "meet and greets" Thursday and Friday at the Davis' condo complex. Details to follow for all!

PHOTOS & VIDEOS?

~We are encouraging all of our guests to take LOTS of photos and videos during the weekend! We want to be a part of your weekend experience! Especially candid fun videos of people dancing, drinking, comments, suggestions, memories, etc... Please upload to our social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Youtube) or those of our family members. We will have some disposable cameras out at the wedding, but are very excited to receive lots of photos and videos you take during your stay!
