Please continue to check our Q+A often as we will continue to update the page with common questions. Do not hesitate to reach out to Melissa or Michael if any of your questions are not answered here.
I've never been to Austin before, what should I know?
Austin is a large city that has achieved the title of Live Music Capital of the World. The city is known for its unique cultural and entertainment options (we highly suggest checking out the "Things to Do" section of our website). Most of the city's charm lives outside the small downtown area in East/South/Central neighborhoods. Our wedding events will be taking place in the historic East Austin neighborhoods which can be described as eclectic and trendy. Getting around Austin is easy via rideshare (we don't recommend renting a car as parking can be difficult). Accommodations and major attractions will be located approximately 15-20 minutes from the airport.
What time should I arrive at your wedding?
Doors open at 3:00PM and our ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30PM. Latecomers will not be granted entry into the ceremony to avoid disruptions. We appreciate you being on time and seated by 3:25PM.
NOTE: Traffic in Austin is to be expected.
Is there parking available? How do I get there?
Parking is available at the venue (see below). Our venue is easy to find using a GPS. A parking attendant will be present at the front of the venue to direct cars as needed.
Rideshare information was shared with guests not local to Austin. If you did not receive this information, please contact the hosts.
What do I wear?
Cocktail attire is a dress code that's more formal than business casual but less formal than black tie. It's a step above smart casual and encourages guests to look polished and put together. Please, no jeans.
Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Both! Texas in November is some of the best weather, however, we do suggest bringing a light jacket for after sunset. If it does not rain, an outdoor ceremony and outdoor dining is anticipated.
What kind of food will be served?
In addition to passed appetizers, guests are requested to select their entree upon RSVPing. At this time, our caterer has been made aware of all restrictions listed when RSVPing and has confirmed the ability to accommodate.
Can I bring a date? Are kids welcome?
We kindly request that only those listed on official correspondence attend the wedding.
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
We will be having an "unplugged" ceremony, requesting that no guests use their phones or take photos during the ceremony. Please feel free to take photos once cocktail hour begins.
When do I need to RSVP? How?
We kindly request that you RSVP as soon as you finalize your plans, no later than October 1, 2024. Please select the "RSVP" tab on our website and enter the name on your written correspondence. You will be able to make selections for your entire party, including meal choice and reporting dietary needs.
UPDATE: RSVPs have closed. Thank you!
Where should I stay in Austin?
Please see the "accommodations" section of our website to book at ARRIVE Austin and receive 20% off your stay.
If you prefer other accommodations, some AirBnbs are listed on our "accommodations" page or feel free to reach out to the hosts for suggestions.
