Our story goes way back to our childhood. Daniel and Melissa met at the age of 4 years old. Their moms' became fast friends at work and realized they both had daughters who could become best friends. Melissa was more interested in being playmates with Daniel's sister, Hannah growing up.
Growing up, Daniel was a typical young boy who would tease Melissa. Nothing has changed now that they are in their late 20's. During the awkward teenage years, the couple lost touch because play dates were no longer needed. Melissa came back into Daniel's life when she came to say her last goodbye to Daniel's Mom, Abi. The silver lining of the tragic passing of Abi was that Melissa and Daniel got to reconnect their friendship which led to them falling in love with each other.
Melissa was very focused on going to college and competing with her horse. Daniel pursued Melissa by going to the barn, cleaning her tack, and going to horseback riding lessons all before their first date. After, that first date in 2018, they became an official couple, and by 2023 they finally got engaged at Pass-a-Grille Beach. It did not go exactly to plan where he wanted to propose due to the weather, but Daniel made the most of it. He found a perfect white shell to use as a ring box for his surprise proposal.
If 2023 was not exciting enough with the engagement they house hunted the minute Melissa graduated school. By late June they purchased a cute little ranch house. In July they celebrated their 5-year dating anniversary by adopting two "daughters" (kittens) named Tamale and Tequila.
Melissa and Daniel always support each other with their goals, dreams, and passions. Melissa has convinced Daniel that traveling is a must. So their goals in 2024 besides making it to the big day are to take more vacations and to see the world together.
