It was the summer of 2017 and Melissa had almost given up on love. Sitting up one night watching the Astro’s play the Dodgers in the World Series, she decided to give the dating apps one more go. She downloaded Tinder and after a few swipes a message from no other than Zack popped up. Zack was living with his parents in Lakeville, MA at the time, and had no idea the rest of his life was about it begin.

The two began exchanging messages and after some enjoyable banter, Zack mustered up the courage to suggest the idea of a first date. The Sam Diego’s restaurant in Hyannis, Cape Cod was chosen, and the excitement and nervousness were at their peak. Even though Zack ordered fish & chips at a Mexican restaurant on their first date, Melissa was happy to have finally met someone that made her smile constantly. Shortly after, the two made it official and traveled to see each other on the weekends until they decided that living an hour apart was just too much. Melissa moved from Brewster, Cape Cod to Lakeville. So many wonderful memories were made such as; sports games, family trips, and date nights. This enjoyable time together led the couple to move into their first apartment in Middleboro.

After one year together in Middleboro the summer of 2022 was coming to an end and Zack made the most important purchase of his life…the ring. While taking photos by the ocean in Westport, MA, Zack looked at Melissa and told her he had something important to ask her. He got down on one knee and took the ring out of his pocket. Melissa said yes! The couple shared shock and tears of joy while they drove to a local restaurant to celebrate. Fast forward a few months later, they purchased their first home in Fairhaven together and are planning the special day to celebrate with all of their loved ones.
