Our Wedding

Melissa and Ian met the way all modern fairytales begin: on Bumble! From the moment they connected, something felt different. Ian was struck by Melissa’s grace, while she wasn’t quite sure what to make of his cool demeanor. Their first date was filled with old stories, easy conversation and set the tone for a relationship full of laughter, depth, and unexpected joy. Their love story reached new heights when Ian proposed at the top of the ferris wheel at National Harbor.

Venue Information

The wedding will take place at the Poplar Springs Manor. The venue is in a quieter, less lively town, so if you’re looking for more to do outside of the wedding, you may want to consider staying in the Washington, DC area. Please keep in mind that the drive from DC to the venue can take 60–90 minutes, depending on the time of day

Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is approximately 45 minutes from the venue. Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is located approximately 1 hour from the venue.

This hotel is located about 15 minutes from the venue, about 45 minutes from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) and 50 minutes from Reagan National Airport (DCA).

This hotel is located about 30 minutes from both the venue and Dulles International Airport (IAD) as well as 40 minutes from Reagan National Airport (DCA).

Wedding Rehearsal – Poplar Springs Manor at 4:00pm

Our wedding rehearsal will take place at Poplar Springs Manor in Warrenton, VA at 4:00pm. All members of the wedding party are asked to attend so we can walk through the ceremony and ensure everyone feels comfortable and prepared for the big day.

Rehearsal Dinner – Denim & Pearls Restaurant at 6:00pm

Following the rehearsal, please join us for dinner at 6pm at Denim &amp; Pearls Restaurant, located about 15 minutes from Poplar Springs Manor.

Wedding Day 

Bridesmaids should plan to arrive at the venue at 9:00am to begin getting ready, while groomsmen should arrive at 11:00am. There will be a bridal suite and a groom’s suite available for everyone to get dressed, relax, and enjoy the excitement leading up to the ceremony.
