"We just knew!"

You know in the movies when people have struggled with love and then there's this magical moment when the two main characters meet and then within a few days know it's meant to be? Normally that doesn't happen but for Blake and Melissa they were lucky enough to experience it. They didn’t realize it when they first met, but God had been working for a long time on the perfect moment to put each other on the same path. In 2017 Melissa met someone (who became one of her very best friends) who introduced her to Muskogee and many amazing new friends. Blake and Melissa were both seeing other people at the time so they wouldn’t meet until years later but little did they know, that’s how their entire journey began, a random trip to Muskogee! Fast forward four years past many crazy adventures and some hard learned, but necessary, life lessons to the beginning of 2021. Melissa hadn’t been to Muskogee in quite some time but decided to go to Buffalo Wild Wings with some friends and Blake just so happened to know the friends she was with and walked in and sat at the table with them! After they left Blake reached out that night, trying to "talk" to Melissa on Facebook but she wasn’t having it! She sent short replies at first until he boldly called her on Snapchat and asked her to hang out! She said no but ended up asking him out for margaritas the next day anyways. Melissa said, "it was simple to fall in love with his caring ways, the way he put everyone first and took charge of his life and his goals." Throughout this year my family has been through so much and he's been there to comfort me. He's never missed a beat making sure he was there ready to listen and walk with me through whatever I was feeling." Blake said, "There was always something missing. I just couldn't find the person that I wanted to love and travel with and raise children with. I knew Melissa was that person instantly." On February 20th, 2021, just about a month and a half they just couldn't wait anymore and had a small wedding on the dock of a gorgeous frozen lake in Muskogee. Neither of them ever questioned it, it was just right. Now on May 14th, 2022, the two lovebirds will have a celebration of vows ceremony and reception with all of their family and friends!

The Cave House in a landmark in Tulsa. It was built in 1924, as a Chicken Restaurant. Built during prohibition, it was a place you could quench your thirst! It not only has quirky architecture, but it probably best known for its stories, full of interesting and sometimes amusing information.
