Doug and Melissa first met in the summer of 2013 in Speculator, NY. Speculator is a special place for Doug and Melissa. This is where Doug lived since he was 9 years old, and where Melissa and her family spent most of their summers since childhood.


Picture it, Summer of 2013...
Doug worked at The Speculator Inn and Melissa worked down the road at Logans Bar and Grill during the busy, busy summer season. They had many mutual friends for years and somehow had never met. Their paths finally crossed one night, when some of those special mutual friends made it happen after a long busy day of work. From that day forward that summer, they spent all of their free time together on Lake Pleasant, boating, swimming, kayaking and hanging out with friends.
Doug and Melissa worked hard at maintaining a long distance relationship for 2 years, traveling from Philadelphia where Melissa lived and Speculator where Doug lived before Doug made the move to Philly. After 4 years together, their sunshine, Elizabeth Marie was born. The couple bought a house in the suburbs to start their lives with her.


So for their 10 year anniversary, they have decided to invite their friends and family to officially tie the knot and say I DO!.
