We are planning to watch the Mizzou vs. Texas game on Saturday, November 7, in Austin at a bar on Rainey Street at noon. Everyone is welcome!

Austin has so much to offer! We know all of you will be traveling for this; we recommend making a personal trip out of it.

South Congress:

This area is filled with local shops, restaurants, coffee spots, and great views of the Austin skyline. It’s a great place to walk around and experience the city.

Famous Texas BBQ:

Austin is known for incredible barbecue. Some of our favorites include Franklin Barbecue (be prepared to wait in line for 2-4 hours) and Terry Black’s Barbecue (very good shorter wait).

Lady Bird Lake and Butler Trail:

The trails around Lady Bird Lake offer beautiful views of downtown Austin. You can also rent kayaks or paddleboards if you’d like to get out on the water.

Mount Bonnell:

A walk up a few flights stairs leads to one of the best views in Austin overlooking the Colorado River. It’s especially beautiful at sunset.

Night Life/Live Music:

Austin is known as the “Live Music Capital of the World,” and there are great spots all over the city. Sixth Street and Rainey Street are popular areas to find live music and go out in the evenings. Sixth Street is higher energy and younger crowd. Rainey Street is little more relaxed than Sixth Street.
