We met the old fashion way, with a swipe and rose from Hinge! After moving to Charlotte on a whim and never setting foot in Charlotte before, Melissa decided it was time to go out and meet people. Robert found Melissa's profile and thanks to her Scottish title of Lady Melissa of Glencoe, Robert sent her a rose. Hey on a dating app sending a rose is a big deal, if you know you know.

Our first date was at Pins Mechanical where we met up to play some games and get to know each other.

After only three months of dating Robert got his orders from the Army National Guard that he would be deploying to Djibouti Africa for 1 year. Don't ask Robert about the time line he'll swear it was only 11 months, it was a year let's be honest here.

During the deployment we faced continuing our relationship while being apart longer than we were physically together in the same country. But hey we made it through and that's what brings us here!

We are so excited to start our lives together and celebrate our new era with everyone!
