Where should I stay?
There's a list of hotels on "Travel Information" with booking codes to stay with other guests. Pick one in your price range! If you know others going to the wedding, see if they'd like to do a private villa or Airbnb; those are also great options.
Is it safe?
Yes. San Miguel de Allende is generally considered one of the safest, more tourist-friendly cities in Mexico, boasting a strong expat community and high security in the central area. When we visited, we walked around at night and the streets were lively with music, people, weddings, well into the night. Also, a lot of the locals know english very well, so you don't have to feel like you can't communicate to get around.
How long should I stay?
Official wedding events will take place Saturday and Sunday, but we would encourage people to take a few extra days to enjoy the town! We'll get there Wednesday prior to the wedding, and are looking forward to seeing people as much as we can! Therefore, please hit us up, don't be afraid to tell us you're around and we'll do our best to get together for a drink or meal or at least a quick hello!
Are kids allowed?
The short answer is this is a kid-free wedding. That said, we LOVE our friends and community and rally for them, so we REALLY don't want kids to be the reason you can't come. Reach out to us directly about this and we'll treat it on a case-by-case basis. Not only do we need to run it by the venue, but we also do have a guest limit. That said, we're looking into babysitting options for infants who need to come! So if you have a baby you can't leave behind, bring them! We're trying to facilitate as much as we can! :)
