Our story is beautiful, unconventional, and lengthy. We’ll try to keep this short.

2009

Melody and Michael first meet in freshman year of college at Wake Forest University. Michael comes by to borrow a book from Melody’s roommate Amanda. Melody asks “Hey, who is that guy?” They quickly become friends.

2010-2012

Narrator: But they would remain “just friends” for quite some time.

2013

After each of them takes a few dating detours, Michael (finally) expresses interest. Melody is smitten. September 21, 2013, Michael asks Melody to be his girlfriend(!!!)

2015

Michael moves to Charlottesville, VA to be with Melody! They adopt their first fur baby Ciri from the local shelter.

2016

Melody and Michael move back to their old stomping grounds - Winston Salem, NC. Fur baby Winston enters the family.

2017-2023

Melody and Michael make the big move to Miami, FL! They rescue a stray kitten from the backyard, and Chanel enters the fam. They buy a house and finally start putting down roots as one big happy Florida family.

2024

On the annual trip to the Outer Banks, NC, Michael proposes a date night at their favorite local restaurant. Since the timing seemed too perfect (read - planned), they decide to rush home after dinner to take some sunset pictures on the beach. After a few quick pics and one suspiciously long pause, Michael gets down on one knee (and she said yes!) Melody and Michael started a long and beautiful phase now coined their “happymoon” full of joy, fun, scooters, travel, and most of all, love.
