Melody and Josh’s story began in the fall of their freshman year at LSU. They lived in the same dorm, Laville Hall, and their paths crossed when their mutual friend, Omead, invited them over to hang out. What started as a casual friendship soon became something deeper. For over a year, they built a strong connection—until one night, Omead, playing matchmaker, subtly (and not so subtly) nudged them toward each other. And from there, the sparks flew.

Over the last seven years, Melody and Josh's love has only grown stronger. They've explored the ups and downs of life side by side, constantly learning from and supporting one another. Melody cheered Josh on as he built his career in Baton Rouge, and in return, Josh was there every step of the way as Melody completed her Medical Doctorate, graduating in May 2024. Together, they marked this new chapter by buying their first house in Baton Rouge, transforming it into a home.

A natural adventurer, Melody convinced Josh to travel with her early on. What started with road trips with friends to places like Houston, Austin, and Gulf Shores, soon evolved into solo adventures—like their first long trip to San Francisco after graduation. It was the ultimate test for any couple, and they passed with flying colors. From that moment, they made it a priority to travel whenever they could. Together, they’ve explored Saint Martin, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Canada, New York, California, Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Texas, and Arizona.

But they didn’t just stick to joint trips—each found time to wander on their own. Melody ventured to Chile, Argentina, and Oregon, while Josh explored Bali, Japan, and Yellowstone. As if that wasn’t enough, they’ve got a trip to Colorado on the books for January 2025, right before their wedding—let's just hope they survive their first ski trip!

For them, the world is too big to explore alone, and their journey has just begun.
