Our Wedding

Meranda and Todd met at Thunderbird Station in Deep Ellum in June of 2023. Meranda and her friends usually sat on the patio but it was June 9th and too warm to sit outside. Todd took a chance and sat at the bartop next to Meranda. He pulled up his big boy pants and sat in a seat at the bar that any single man would want. Even though her girlfriends glanced at him with a look of, “good luck, she’s tough, nobody can put a leash on that one” Todd struck up conversation.&nbsp;The conversation starter? Her unique drink in a Squirt bottle! He ordered the cocktail, they shared laughter and great conversation not yet realizing that their lives would be changed forever. He bought the group of girls a couple of rounds and mentioned that he didn't have any problem crashing girl's night so the party continued at The Double Wide Bar across the street. When Meranda stepped away from the table, Todd shared with the girls, saying, "your friend is cute", in hopes that they wouldn't keep it a secret (they didn't). At the end of the night Todd boldly asked Meranda to put her number in his phone - she did without hesitation. There were many texts in the days to follow while Meranda played hard to get and avoided making any plans. At last, she agreed on a first date at Alice when Todd said, "I really just want to take you to dinner and see if we get along".&nbsp; "Todd, I never knew that I could get along so well with anyone. You are my favorite person. You make me laugh everyday, even on the worst of days. You are the most considerate and caring person - I am so lucky to experience your love. I wasn’t looking for love but love found us and I will be forever thankful that you chose to take a chance and sit down next to me. I can’t wait to continue to learn and grow with each other and celebrate our love forever! I love you, I love us and I love the life we are building together!" "Meranda, that night, I found my new love, best friend and future bride.&nbsp;We are still on that first date today.&nbsp;We established an early set of rules which we still follow.&nbsp;To always treat each other with the highest level of respect.&nbsp;No raising voices.&nbsp;No name calling.&nbsp;No bad language directed toward each other.&nbsp;Plenty in any other direction!&nbsp;Meranda, I love you.&nbsp;You are my camping buddy, surfing partner, whiskey sipping sidekick, art creating friend, motorcycle ride or die and my everything else."
