Once upon a time, it was a glorious summer afternoon in the year of 2016..Meredith had been at work since the wee hours of the morning and Jake was off to his free training session.. they both had no idea it would be the day they’d meet their soul mate! Meredith’s work manager became too busy to take on her next client so she had asked Meredith if she could train him instead. Naturally, she agreed and began to head downstairs to the gym where she would soon meet her future husband. They instantly clicked as the 30 minute session flew by. Both Meredith and Jake felt a spark. Time went on and they hadn’t seen each other again, until one fall evening, in November. Meredith was not only a personal trainer but took care of front desk duties, as well. She was working the front desk on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 and had seen that that special client she had met a few months prior was scheduled to play tennis that evening. She immediately felt excitement and thought to herself, “I should ask him out, what do I have to lose— If I don’t try then I’ll never know.” Jake entered the gym/tennis club and they chatted for a few moments before he had to head down to the courts, that spark was still there and it was as plain as anyone could see. Hours had passed while Jake was on the tennis court and Meredith was filled with excitement knowing that she’d have the chance to share in a future conversation with this handsome tennis player. The match was over and the tennis club had cleared out, all except for one young man. Jake had waited to chat with Meredith at the front desk and they engaged in some lighthearted banter, then Jake proceeded to leave through the front doors. But at this point in time both Meredith and Jake knew in their hearts one of them had to make a move, for they didn’t want to lose eachother, once again. Meredith jumped up as Jake left and proceeded to the doors to follow after him when little did Meredith know Jake was already marching back into the building, determined to not let her spark escape him again. As he came back in he proclaimed, “would you like to get dinner sometime?.” With pure joy in Meredith’s heart she politely exclaimed, “absolutely, yes!” & they exchanged phone numbers. Their first date was only a few short days after that crucial phone number exchange. They’ve been inseparable ever since, becoming not only lovers but best friends, creating a most brilliant, beautiful and adventurous love story, a love story that is…simply meant to be.
