It all began in 2016 when they met at the “Golf House” in Manhattan, Kansas. From that evening, Meredith and Connor’s time at K-State was shaped and marked by countless memories, including many trips to Taco Lucha (beginning with their first date), attempts at giving Meredith golf lessons, and lots of time cheering on the Wildcats. Those moments, filled with laughter, Taco Lucha tacos, and celebrating Wildcat victories, became the foundation of their connection.

After Connor graduated from K-State and moved back to Kansas City in 2017, he was lucky enough to continue re-living the good ol’ college days while visiting Meredith in Manhattan. In 2019, after navigating long distance, Connor and Meredith were thrilled when she joined him back in KC to pursue her dream of attending dental school!

The next four years in Kansas City were filled with joy as they explored the city with friends and family, cheered enthusiastically for the Wildcats, and attended what felt like a never-ending series of weddings (and not their own – which, of course, Meredith often playfully reminded Connor 😉).

Fast forward to October 2023, when Connor orchestrated a plan to convince Meredith to road-trip to Manhattan for a "football game watch party” as the Wildcats were playing an away game that weekend. Their first stop in town, like always, was Taco Lucha. Meredith found it curious when Connor suggested they sit outside on a cloudy 40-degree day but proceeded to follow him to the patio anyway.

With the whole restaurant to themselves and Meredith in total surprise, Connor proposed in front of the fireplace, back where it all began. It was a moment filled with love and excitement that they will cherish forever as they look forward to the next steps in their journey (and future Taco Lucha trips).

As they countdown to August 2025, Meredith and Connor are thrilled to invite their family and friends to celebrate their wedding day. Your presence means the world to them, and they are so grateful for your support.
