We met in Children's Ministry at World Outreach Church when we were in elementary school, went through Junior High and High School ministries together at WOC, and even were in the same small group together for YEARS. However, we barely even remember seeing one another! It wasn’t until he won the March Madness bracket at College Ministry that I (Meredith) really noticed him for the first time. I like to say that the Lord MUST have hid David for me.

Flash forward to the summer of 2022, David's mama planted the idea in my (Meredith's) head that *maybe* someone like David Lukasick would be interested in me, and it really did change my whole life.


We spent the next year growing into close friends through Friday night dessert most weeks with several of our friends. David also served as one of the leaders at College Ministry, where we got to get a firsthand account of what it would look like to serve the Lord together.

Flash forward to June 2023- we went to Israel with the College Ministry together. By the time we were in the airport, he was sitting with my mama, eating her french fries... and he really didn't leave my side for just about the entire trip. Just ask him about the "motorcycle incident!"

When we got home, David asked me out and called me his girlfriend on the first date. Half of his College Ministry small group showed up, and that led us to go and take a walk at The Fountains. By the third date, he was asking what my Thanksgiving plans were. And by one month, he told me he believed this was "God-ordained."

And, I'll have to say- I agree with him.

A few months later, David asked me to marry him where we spent all those Friday nights having dessert, and where we took a walk on our first date.

We couldn't be more grateful for all the walks to come.
