Some of you may know our story, but for those who do not, we wanted to share it with everyone! We are so excited for our wedding day and hope to see you there! You are a special part of our lives and we appreciate everything you have done for us! We love you and we hope our story touches you in some way!

Adam & I have known each other for close to 10 years. Adam was living with my Uncle Matthew when we first met when they were working at Ruby Tuesday’s together. He would always try to come to every family celebration we had at my Nana’s house and we always had a blast hanging out together! Over this period, we learned a lot about each other, but never thought of being in a relationship. We learned that we both shared interests in coffee, video games, sports, and Star Wars back then also! When I say sports, I do not mean teams so please do not get that confused! That is one of the main things we do not agree on, being that I am an Alabama fan and he is a Florida fan. Don’t ask how it works, but it works….God has found a way to make that work!

In 2020, we decided to start dating to see where things would go. Adam was in Valdosta working with the Fire Department and I was in Dublin working at Holy Smokes. We dated for about 6 to 7 months and decided that things were not working out. We didn’t break up because of the traveling or time away from each other, it was something that wasn’t right with our hearts. We didn’t know it then, but the main reason things did not go our way the first time was that God was not first in either of our lives.

After we broke up, neither of us ended up in good places. By the end of 2020, I moved two hours away from home not living the way I should have and a year later, I ended up in North Carolina. I thought I could outrun any of my problems by moving away from Dublin, but that was not the case. Adam was also struggling during this time as well. He was still working for Valdosta Fire, but like me, sin crept into his life as well. He never moved, but he didn’t have the same drive or want-to attitude that he normally has.

In 2022, I decided to move back home for good! The Lord got a hold of me and I have never been the same since! About a week or two after I had moved back, I decided I wanted to get baptized because I wanted to re-dedicate my life to Christ. A few weeks later, my Mom told me that Adam was in town and wanted to see my brother before he went to prom one night. After Marshall had gone to prom, Adam was leaving and we agreed that we needed to talk before he went back to Valdosta. After talking and catching up, we could tell something was different. Something that was unexplainable. We knew our feelings for each other were still there, but didn’t know how or why. We continued talking and things were going great! We were having so much fun and learning to walk in Christ! At the end of July, Adam decided to re-dedicate his life to Christ as well! We also had our answer to date again! The first few months were a little rocky, but we ended up finding our groove. Everything was so new to us, we didn’t put God first with us dating the first time, so we had to find that happy medium with learning how to put Him first before anything else. The world threw everything it had at us, but we knew God was going to guide us and be there through it all!

This journey took a lot of hard work and dedication, but God has gotten us through so much together and we have never been as happy as we are now! We are both involved with our church at Christ Chapel. Adam is part of the Usher Team and I am part of the Praise and Worship Team!

We hope our story has inspired or encouraged you in some way! God has used us in ways that we never thought were possible and blessed our lives better than we could have ever imagined! We would also like to say a special thank you to all of our mentors, friends, and family for helping us on this amazing journey!
