Johnny and I met in a co-ed kickball league the summer of 2022 after we both moved to Dallas from different states. Since we signed up as individuals, we got put on a random team with other single players. You never know how these things are going to work out, and we feel lucky that our team (Great Balls of Fire) of misfits was all people our age who recently moved to Dallas and also wanted to make new friends. Our kickball team, although not the best at kickball, knew how to have fun and started hanging out most weekends!

Johnny and I got to know each other as friends for 6 months before we started dating. We bonded over our mutual love and competition of college football (Auburn > UCF), country music (including Tim McGraw who we saw the night we got engaged), Big Brother, shared politics, our similar faith/values, and the way we instantly felt comfortable sharing who we truly are with each other. We're grateful for this time as friends to build a strong foundation for our relationship to blossom quickly.

Over the past year and a half, Johnny and I have enjoyed traveling to new places, cheering on all the Dallas sports teams (Go Stars, Rangers, & Mavs), singing show tunes late at night, going to country concerts, trying new recipes, getting to know each other's families and friends, and of course hanging out with Peaches and Cam at home! We feel truly blessed!
