Growing up in Springdale, Arkansas our families became mutual friends quickly. We attended the same church growing up, but did not become that close of friends. We were only a year apart in school, but could not have been more different. Davis was on the basketball team throughout middle school, junior high, and high school. Meredith joined the band in middle school and played the flute up until she graduated.

Our paths only crossed once in all of high school, ironically, in Chemistry class. After high school, Davis went on to attend Arkansas Tech University, later transferring to John Brown University, and Meredith attended the University of Arkansas. After Meredith's first year of college, and Davis' second year, they re-met each other at New Life Ranch.

From working as lifegaurds together at New Life, we quickly began hanging out and becoming best friends. We could make each other laugh like no one else we'd ever met.

Meredith had a sliiiiight crush on Davis while at New Life, but was too scared to ruin their friendship. Once camp was over, she expected him to forget about her as he started his junior year at John Brown University. But that was far from what happened.

Davis and Meredith kept reaching out to each other to hang out throughout the fall semester of 2022. After months of Meredith not being able to handle where they stood, she called him in December of 2022, finally telling him how she felt. With Davis still processing his feelings for her, she told him, "let me know when you figure it out," and proceeded to hang up. And that he did. Two days later, Davis shows up at Meredith's door telling her he likes her too. A few days after this, they finally have their first date. And the rest is history!

After almost two years of dating, we finally said yes to forever on December 6th, 2024. Now, we are so ecstatic to continue our pursuit of Christ and each other in marriage for the rest of our lives!

As we prayerfully and patiently wait for our wedding day to come, we ask that you pray for our hearts, as the Lord continues to guide our relationship in preparing for our future marriage!
