Things to Know
How soon do I need to respond once I get my invitation?
Please mail in your RSVP card as soon as possible if you know you will or will not be able to attend. The deadline for RSVPs is Friday, September 20th. If you would like to inform the bride or groom electronically via phone call, text, or email, feel free to do so but still mail in your RSVP card. If you are unsure if you can attend, please notify the bride or groom so that they can reach back out to you once more prior to them having to submit final guest counts to their vendors.
What should I wear?
Sunday Best to Semi-Formal: Come as you are but dress up and have some fun! Please note the ceremony is in an outdoor chapel. Be mindful of the weather. Cocktail hour will be mostly outdoors at Carriage Hall. The reception will be indoors of Carriage Hall. From a lady's perspective, wear comfortable shoes. Due to some dirt and rocky paths, stilettos are not a girl's best friend.
What will happen if it rains?
Even though it's an outdoor chapel, our intentions are to continue to hold the ceremony as it is. If the weather is severe with sideways winds or thunder and lightening, the ceremony will be moved into Carriage Hall, the reception hall. However, we are all going to pray for a beautiful, sunny wedding day!
Are children allowed to attend?
While we love your little ones, we kindly ask that only children age 10 and older attend alongside their parent(s).
When can I use my phone or camera?
This will be an unplugged ceremony! Respectfully, please do not have your phone or camera out for pictures or videos during the ceremony. Make sure to silence your phones as well! With all due respect, the bride and groom do not want to think of you every time they watch their ceremony video years down the road, and it was your ringer that went off during the filming of the ceremony. You can take as many pictures and videos as you want afterwards! Don’t forget to share with the bride and groom!
Will there be alcohol?
Yes, a bar service will be present for all in attendance who are of legal drinking age of 21. Their services will begin at the start of cocktail hour around 4:30pm and will end around 8:30pm, thirty minutes prior to the couple’s sparkler send-off. Please drink responsibly! We want you to remember every fun memory you make at the wedding!
What kind of food will be served?
The bride and groom have opted to have some passed Hors D’oeuvres during cocktail hour for guests to fancy while waiting for the reception dinner. Dinner will consist of a plated meal. Please don’t forget to mention any food allergies on your RSVP cards!
What do I do with the recipe card if I couldn’t go to the shower?
We would love to receive as many recipe cards as possible to create one collective cookbook! If you were unable to attend the wedding showers but you are able to attend the wedding, please bring your recipe card with you. You can drop it off at the gift table!
