Alex and Meredith first learned about each other on February 13, 2022 aka Superbowl Sunday. Meredith’s best friend Genna had a party where she and Alex’s sister in-law, Traci, decided they wanted to play matchmaker. They couldn’t get Alex to come to the party to meet Meredith that night, but Traci insisted the whole evening to Meredith that one day, they would be sisters.

Alex was initially reluctant to be set up on a blind date, but agreed to meet Meredith in a group setting. They finally met on March 27, 2022. Alex knew he was in trouble when Meredith left at the end of the night and he asked Traci to hand him his “blonde” jacket. The jacket was gray… Their relationship took off immediately. Though it required a lot of effort on both of their parts visiting each other across state lines, they prioritized seeing each other and made it work around their schedules.

After only dating four months, Meredith took the leap and moved in with Alex in Kinnelon, NJ. It was fast and seemed crazy, yet somehow it was one of the easiest decisions she ever made. They loved living there in the beautiful lake community, taking advantage of the scenic location with parks and walking paths.

They both had dogs growing up and were itching for one of their own. Alex’s uncle’s dog’s litter was due in September, and they couldn’t pass up the opportunity. In November they drove to Vermont to pick up their Chocolate Lab, Sasha. They have been in love with her ever since.

On May 20, 2023, Alex asked Meredith to marry him. He coordinated both of their families to be there on the day to celebrate with them. Their relationship may have moved at an unconventional pace, but they never doubted it for a moment.

They recently purchased a house with more space and a big fenced in yard for Sasha and can’t wait to begin this next chapter as husband and wife.
