Our story began in 2014, when we were first introduced to one another at Emily (Meredith's Step-Sister) and Doug's (Christopher's Brother) wedding. We spent much of the weekend discussing work, life and the challenges of living away from family/friends (Meredith on the East Coast and Christopher on the West Coast). After hitting the dance floor and laughing the night away, the weekend commenced and we went our separate ways.

We reunited in Chicago in 2016 while celebrating Grace, our niece's first birthday. Along with our families, we walked around the city, sat in the park admiring Lake Michigan and enjoyed outdoor drinks and dancing on the beach. While there was a connection, as the weekend commenced, we again went our separate ways.

Our paths would continue to cross year after year after year...

In 2017, we reunited at the Charron's cottage, when we were appointed Godparents to Josephine, Emily and Doug's second daughter. Christopher recalls thinking he was "secretly" in love with Meredith. Meredith recalls wondering why Christopher was still single! Fast forward to 2018, when Meredith mentioned she was attending a wedding on New Year's Eve, which Christopher quickly invited himself to as her date...and then declined to attend the Rose Bowl to watch MSU instead. Meredith is a U of M fan, so you can only imagine how she felt. GO BLUE!

We both eventually moved back to Michigan, though settled on opposite sides of the state. Christopher would invite Meredith out for a casual dinner or drinks frequently when he came back to visit his family. We would talk for hours about home ownership, work, family and dating. Secretly Christopher was trying to court Meredith and Meredith naturally thought that they were just friends. Finally, on a trolley in Downtown Detroit while celebrating a Christmas Crawl with friends, Christopher confessed his love. He continued to court Meredith for several months (bless him), while Meredith contemplated if this was the right next step for their relationship. His persistence paid off and she finally agreed to give this relationship a try.

Without reservation, we can both say that 2019 was one of the BEST years of our lives. One filled with new beginnings, love, laughter, family, friends and adventure. We traveled to Napa, Lake Tahoe, Outer Banks and various places along Lake Michigan to name a few. We spent quality time reconnecting with family and friends, which was long overdue. We deeply value our relationships with family and friends--and we wouldn't be here today if it weren't for many of you, so thank you for your LOVE and SUPPORT!
