About Transportation
Our wedding is in a fairly remote, small mountain town where on-demand transportation rentals (ie. Uber and Lyft) are not readily available. We will be providing shuttle service to and from the venue for those staying in the two hotels in which we have room blocks (the Fairfield Inn and the Hampton Inn).
If you are interested in reserving transportation service to and from your rental house, please take a look at the services offered by the following businesses and reserve ahead of the weekend.
Places to Stay for Your Mountain Getaway!
There are many wonderful options for lodging in the area surrounding our secluded mountain wedding venue, including wineries, a historic building that's been renovated into individually rentable units, several hotels, and of course Airbnb/VBRO rentals.
Hotel Room Blocks
We have reserved room blocks in two hotels within 20 minutes of the wedding venue. See the details below!
Hampton Inn Jonesville/Elkin
Located in Jonesville, this hotel is about 20 minutes from the wedding venue and about 5 minutes from downtown Elkin (see our Things to Do page).

20 rooms are available in the block. Any unbooked rooms remaining after 8/29/25 will be released and the discount will no longer be available.
Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Elkin Jonesville
This hotel, located in Elkin, is about 15 minutes from the wedding venue and a 10 minute drive to downtown Elkin (see our Things to Do page).
Room block will be available until August 26th, 2025, then the rooms will be released and return to the typical rate. You can either book through the website below, or call (336) 353-2008 and use our code WRWS.
Individual Rentals
Three Trails
These units will book fast, so make your reservation quickly!
The first building on Elkin's Main St. in the 1800's has been newly renovated, transformed into boutique mountain apartments. The building includes fourteen unique units (studio, 1 bedroom, and 2 bedroom) with rooftop deck, on Main Street. It's about 20 minutes from the wedding venue and smack-dab in the middle of Elkin.

Airbnb/VRBO Rentals
If you choose the Airbnb/VRBO route, consider searching for one close to Elkin, NC or our venue at 615 Woodland Sky Drive, State Rd, NC 28676.
You could also choose one up the mountain near Sparta, NC (one of our favorite little towns to peruse), but be prepared for at least a 20 minute drive up and down some curvy roads.
Wineries
Grassy Creek Vineyard & Winery
Grassy Creek Vineyard and Winery is one of our (many) favorite wineries to visit in the area! The location used to be a dairy farm, so the tasting room is a beautiful red barn. They have hiking trails on site and often host events on the weekends.
Just 15 minutes from the venue, Grassy Creek's Klondike Cabins are beautifully rustic, as they are from the 1920s, so it's definitely a unique experience!

Roaring River Vineyards
Just 20 minutes from our venue, Roaring River Vineyards is a beautiful vineyard with a restaurant that sits right along a calm river. Visit their website or give them a call to reserve lodging.
