Q + A

If I want to wear Indian clothes, where can I buy them?

We would love for you to share in celebrating our Hindu ceremony with traditional Indian clothing if you choose! Below are some websites where you can purchase clothes. Borrowing from friends is also a great option (many who attend multiple weddings and other Indian celebrations have outfits to lend!) Feel free to reach out to us with any questions. https://www.houseofindya.com/ https://www.utsavfashion.com https://www.kalkifashion.com/ https://www.perniaspopupshop.com/ https://www.azafashions.com/

Is renting an option for Indian Clothes?

Yes! Below are some rental sites for Indian clothes: https://www.lukhstudio.com/ https://www.allborrow.com/ https://borrowthebazaar.com/

What colors should I wear to the Hindu ceremony?

Bright, festive colors are traditionally worn at Hindu ceremonies. Jewel and pastel tones are popular choices!

Where can I park throughout the weekend?

Self-parking is available in the Mabley Place parking garage attached to the Hilton, and can be accessed via Race Street or 4th Street. There is also valet parking available through the hotel. If you are driving to the Catholic ceremony, there is a parking lot adjacent to the church we have reserved for guests. It will be available up to one hour before the ceremony. Lot address: 235 E. 7th Street. Provide the last name of the bride or groom (Ambalavanan or Taylor) for a validated ticket.

Are children invited to the celebration?

We are happy to welcome the entire family to both of our ceremonies as well as the Indian lunch! For the cocktail hour and reception program (sit down meal, dances, and speeches) we will have babysitting services onsite available for children under 12. Once the dance floor opens up for the evening, all children are welcome back to the party!

Do I need to change between the Hindu ceremony and the Catholic ceremony?

Totally up to you! The Bridal Party will be changing clothes in between the two ceremonies. We want you to feel comfortable and have ample time to enjoy the food and company. Your presence is the most important!
