Our story started back in January of 2021, when we both swiped right. We met shortly after for breakfast, where we sat and talked for just over 3 hours. We began going on more dates and slowly started meeting each others friends and family. Like ships passing in the night, we realized that not only had we both studied at Illinois State University, wed had most of our classes in the same building for 3 years and never met!

Through getting to know each other we fell in love! Meredith fell in love with Cody's sense of humor, the way he cares for others, his determination, work ethic, and knowledge. Cody fell in love with Meredith's kindness, her sense of family, her drive, and her positive outlook. A year into dating, our family grew by 4 paws, a golden retriever named Buddy!

Cody and Meredith went on a trip to Disney World with Wendy and Gary, Cody's mom and stepdad. This turned into more than just visiting the most magical place on earth. Cody proposed in Epcot's Germany, Cody chose Germany because he knew it was one of Meredith's favorite places she's ever been. In front of a big crowd, Meredith said yes to her forever. We then walked around Disney for the next couple days with buttons, sashes, and t-shirts exclaiming our engagement!!!
