Favorite Summertime Restaurants

It's hard to pick a restaurant in the Old Port because there are so many good ones! There is something for everyone whether it's a brewery, a distillery, casual fried food, fancy apps, seafood or burgers!

Some of my favorites with ocean views/seating are Portland Lobster Company, DiMillos, The Port Hole, Liquid Riot, Flatbread, RiRas (upstairs), and Luke's Lobster. They all have a fun, relaxed environment, some outdoor seating, good food, and great views!

Other great places to eat that are on the fancy side are Central Provisions, Street and Company, Scales, Fore Street, The Corner Room, and Via Vecchia.

Burger and beer lovers, see brewery tab above.

There are a lot of great Happy Hours all over the Old Port. Please reach out for more recommendations so I can help you find the place you are looking for :)

The Bait Shed

9 Ave 6, Scarborough, ME 04074, USA
(207) 888-1069

This small restaurant is near Pine Point Beach in Scarborough and has some of the biggest lobster rolls around! There is usually a wait to be seated, but it's worth it. All seating is outside on the dock. Lobster is fresh, caught locally, and can sometimes be seen on the lobster boats as they cruise by! Brooks and I go out of our way to grab some lobster from here while in Maine!

More Lobster Rolls

Other than the Bait Shed, there are several great places to try lobster rolls, in Portland. High Roller Lobster company was founded by to local high schoolers back in the day, and Dimillos, the floating restaurant, has had their name on the lobster roll list for some time now. If you find your favorite lobster roll on your visit in Maine, let us know so we can try it out! :)
