The year was 1966. I was in the 7th grade. Having just moved from across town to the Toulminville area, I made the transition with a lot of fear and apprehension. I first saw her (Edwina) in my homeroom class. We were both very shy. We started talking and I walked her home until the 9th grade. We became separated and attended different schools due to integration. We lost contact.

   For years I asked about her with no luck. Finally after a divine intervention, I got permission to call her. On May 15th, 2023, we talked on the phone for the first time. The next day on Mother's Day, 2023, we had our first date. We went to Arlington's Park pier. On June 10th, I took her to Jared's and bought her a ring.

   We will be married Saturday December 30th, 2023 on her birthday at 2pm...
