September 25, 2022

I was heading to a student ministry event, wearing my Philadelphia Eagles sweatshirt. While heading in, a random guy (Michael) passes me on the stairs and says, "Go Birds!" as any Eagles fan would. Me, forgetting I was wearing an Eagles sweatshirt just looks at him, super confused, and keeps walking. Michael leaves that interaction unsure of whether or not I'm a true fan or super friendly.

October 30, 2022

One month later, and I'm again heading to a student ministry event. I don't notice Michael until we end up in a group of people shooting half court shots in the gym. He passes my ball back to me and compliments my shot, using my name. I'm confused how he knows my name.

November 19, 2022

Again, we have another student ministry event. Afterwards, Michael and I both end up going out to a brewery with some friends. He goes hoping to really meet and talk to me and plans to sit near me. We end up talking the whole time we’re there. I pull up the sixers game on my phone so he can keep up with the score and we play monopoly deal where I offer to be his partner. At the end of the night, he walks with me to my car and I’m confused why, but we say goodnight and go our separate ways.

November 20, 2022

I’d say our story officially began on November 20, 2022, though Michael had tried for some time to get to know me. That morning at church, we both hoped to run into each other, but hadn’t. Later that day, I received a text from Michael’s roommate, that said “Here’s her number” and had my number written out. I was confused who was asking for my number, though the friends I was with had been with us the night before and had an idea it would be him. A couple hours later he sent me a text hoping to get dinner that evening, but we ended up going out the next night.

November 21, 2022

For our first date, Michael picked me up in Carlisle, and took me to one of my favorite restaurants. We talked until it closed and then drove around for a while, still talking. He took me to the school he used to work at and then we drove to mine. Once we got back to my place, he asked if I felt comfortable with him staying a little bit longer, and we ended up talking the whole night.

We talked throughout the week, as I had gone to be with my family for Thanksgiving. Once I got back, we hung out again, and that weekend I met his parents.

December 2, 2022

He officially asked me to be his girlfriend on December 2, 2022 and we’ve had so many sweet moments since that day!
