Phillip and Mia met in New England on January 24th, 2020 - both looking for a new start in their hotel careers, and instead, they found each other.
They fell in love faster than COVID-19 spreads, and when the pandemic caught up with the hotel industry, Mia and Phillip took the opportunity to relocate to Phillip's hometown in Tyrone, Georgia, and lay down family roots on the beautiful acreage that his family had shared for almost 60 years.
Atticus Hampton Sims was born May 19th, 2021 -- and Mia and Phillip decided to dive into parenthood and soak up every second with their precious boy. In 2022 the wedding planning had resumed, and the couple is over joyed to invite their friends and family to a venue that is symbolic of the life they are planning to build.
FUN FACTS ABOUT THE COUPLE:
Gardening is their favorite hobby to do together and as a family -- as well as caring for their chickens! Other favorite hobbies include: crafting/creating, astronomy, building large bonfires, and woodworking
Phillip proposed to Mia at Cape San Blas with the help of his sister Kaleigh, with a fireworks display! Phillip chose a traditional sapphire ring, a stone also symbolic of Mia's relationship with her grandmother
Mia also proposed to Phillip the NEXT DAY. She arranged a scavenger hunt on the beach, the Phillip participated in with his little cousins, and presented him an engagement ring as well
Mia and Phillip both still work in the hospitality industry at Jekyll Island Georgia
